I don’t tell ANYONE! – Dippers included – where the actual beach is until 24 hours before – one of the ways in which I try to ensure the Dippers’ privacy! What you will be told in good time is where the Dip hotel will be – this will be a hotel offering special rates to Dippers who are travelling, and also where the party the night before will be held. What an experience I knew no-one on arrival at the secret designated beach. This was a concern for me. Once a confident person cancer had taken that confidence from me slowly and in a devastatingly way over 6 years of recurrent episodes of breast cancer 3 times followed with destructive and constructive surgery. I still dont know why i signed up for the DIP but i did. On the day i thoght of friends and myself. I met wonderful caring funny eccentric people. On that countdown i was laughing i did not care of my image i know a little hidden fear was around somewhere but it never surfaced. Running i was laughing with fellow dippers looking ahead at the sea i cant swim i had no fear!! All my troubles worries hangups saddness anger was left in the Atlantic Ocean.
